Tournament Process
As matches are announced players have five minutes from the announcement to arrive at the appropriate court or you will forfeit your match
This is a double elimination tournament with all teams starting in the top bracket of your skill level
Games will be played to 11 and will be the best two out of three games.  Should the match go to three games, the players will switch sides at six points.
All games must be won by two points
You stay in the top bracket playing each match as noted above,
Should you lose, your team moves to the consolation bracket.
There you will play 1 game to 15 again you must win by two.  Players will switch sides at 8 for the 15 point games.  Should you lose again in the consolidation bracket your tournament play is complete.  However, should you continue to win, you will continue on in the consolidation bracket with the potential of playing for a medal as you continue to win.
Teams are entitled to two timeouts of two minutes per game.  When a time out is taken, place your paddle down on your quarter of the court when you will be standing as play resumes.  The server should place the ball under their paddle at the service line.  Take the opportunity to hydrate

Referees
Referees will be present for each match, including volunteers outside of Robson.  This will include persons who are newly trained.  Referees run the games but are also available to respond to questions or to explain things you may not understand.
Referees are responsible for tracking the score, watching for serving faults and kitchen violations.  Players will loudly call out of bounds shots otherwise the shot will be considered in.  While all players attempt to call all shots as accurately as possible.  However, if you believe there has been a missed call, you may politely ask the referee if they observed the shot.  The referee will indicate whether they saw the shot and if so make a final call.
You may ask the referee if you are the correct server and whether you are preparing to serve from the proper court.  Should you be incorrect that will be a fault and your serve will be lost.  The referee will call the score after each point after determining the players are ready.  Once the score has been called by the referee, the server must serve within 10 seconds.
Should you believe the referee has made a mistake politely talk with them about it seeking clarification.  We are all human and mistakes may happen.  However, remember our purpose for playing is to have a good time and get some exercise..
At the end of the match, please thank the referees for their time and assistance.
